TEA CAFE CHAIN BUSINESS



Like coffee houses in foreign countries, tea houses are the most visited beverage houses in India whether its winter, monsoon, or scorching summer. Also, tea is the second most-consumed beverage in the world after water. India is one of the largest tea producers in the world and itself consuming 80 percent of its produced tea. On realizing the importance of tea in India, several new entrants have started the trend of tea cafes instead of coffee shops. Tea cafe chains are developing the trend of the country by providing a great hangout place for people with higher disposable income, fast-paced lives, and consumers between 18-40 years of age group. Consumers’ shift in preference towards non-sugary diet and health concern, demand for green tea, and other herbal teas have increased which are not easily available at the roadside stalls thus, the demand for such teas and tea providing cafes is increasing.
