Tomato products such as puree, juice, ketchup & sauce are commonly used products in the households, hotels and restaurants. These items are used to enhance the taste of different food products.
Due to increasing standards of living and the rapid urbanization, consumption of tomato products is expected to go up steadily 10% by volume (YoY). At present, the market, especially in the urban areas, is dominated by brands likes MEGGI and KISSAN. Some Medium and Small Companies are also engaged in its production. Thus there is ample scope for a unit to come up in this domain to cater especially the semi urban and rural sectors of India. Presently very little quantity of tomatoes are processed into value added products of which the major processing is carried out in cottage /small scale industries; hence there is a huge business potential and scope for medium size integrated tomato processing unit in the India.
For the better growing business one needs to be well equipped with business plan.
